Vario Top Box

Can anyone answer me this question? I have a various top box on my 2013 1200lc. I want to sell the top box and the mount. If I remove the mount is it a simple operation and does the rear rack need replaced without the plastic top box mount? thanks

You should have if you bought the vario as an extra the original plastic mount that fits where the vario mount was , the original does not have the long bits sticking out the back (box mounts )
