I’m looking at putting some bark busters type things on the bike. Can I just get the backbone parts and fit them to the original handguarda that I have or do I need to get the full kit including the plastic hand guards. I already have the givi extenders which are great for the wind etc and I’d like to keep these if possible

If anyone has any going spare I’d be interested. :)

Thanks

Hello. In short, no.

You'll need to completely remove the originals, and givi extenders before the Barkbuster frame will fit.

BUT, I would highly recommend you switch to Barkbusters as they really are hand guards, whereas the originals are really just wind deflectors.

Picture of mine with the Barkbuster Storm handguards.

When the Barkbuster frame kit arrives, it'll be in silver bare alloy. So I sent mine over to a powder coating company with my exhaust, mounting brackets, crash bars, rear hand rails, Givi luggage plate, skid plate etc....

Cost about £30 to powder coat the lot in Satin Black
