Yes, Oxford are much hotter, KTM ones integrate nicely.
Had KTM grips on my 1190 and 1090 with Oxford on my V-Strom commuter and the Mrs TDM, the Oxfords we used had 5 settings, the KTM ones had 3 settings, pretty much equal to about the 1st 3 settings on the Oxford ones, although I found the hottest setting on the Oxford ones a bit too much.
I would say for 3 season riding the KTM ones are adequate, now and again I wish it had another higher setting, but this did not stop me buying them for my new 1290.
If your primarily interested in cost or heat then the Oxford are the better buy.
