R90s pub quiz

How did it get in that state? It looks as if the subframe tube has been cut intentionally - for example.

I’m not disputing that it’s a fair price in the current market especially when you bear in mind that the new one built from parts in the US cost about £40k. I used to buy complete non runners (BSA’s and the like) for between £5 and £50 so I’m still shocked :D

I didn’t know the history of it when I got it I just thought it was a rare chance to get a cheap 90s

It does look a heap granted :D

Given the price of a nice R90S it is probably a cheap way in.

And as PT has said if you are doing a complete restoration a little more rust and corrosion is of little importance.

There is also the sense of achievement in bringing the old dear back to life.

The end value of the bike permits a pretty thorough overhaul without over capitalising, unlike some of the Cafe racer specials which seem to end being worth less than the were before they were butchered.

But everyone to their own, if some folks like wasting money butchering a bike to annoy people they are never likely to meet good luck to them!

The story continues,
The grey bike was collected today and has gone to a new uk buyer.
This one has arrived in its place:D

Mikeyboy, motorbike detective.

Looks like a better job than the last one, but still put together by Dodgepot Muldoon.
