Advice please?

2006 R1200 GSA, 79,000 miles.

Started (rather sluggishly) then stalled and now won't start. Fuel pump controller? No, swapped a new one in and no change.

Any thoughts please?

If you are happy regards the fuelling side have you checked HT spark. If it’s turning over OK but not attempting to fire, possibly electrical.

There are 4 things required,

fuel, check it is getting to injector;
ignition, you need a good spark;
air, it isn't blocked;
Compression, remove plugs and check with tester or even finger (not with injectors live).

If you have all 4; She lives, (in a camp Christopher Lee voice).

If not .

These things are required at the right time. JJH

So - cranking over like a good-un.

First start of the year?

Have you plenty of fuel in it?
Can you hear the fuel pump operating, when you switch on ignition?
Have you reset the throttle after disconnecting the battery?

Reasonably long run with fresh tank of BP Ultimate with Chad in November - no issues.
Over half a tank of fuel.
Get all of the expected sounds when ignition is switched on.
Have not disconnected the battery.

New battery fitted. No change.

Good Samaritan (Chad) going to test it with a GS911 so hopefully will get to the bottom of it.

If you squint some easy start in the air intake as you crank it and it runs on it fuel supply is your problem. If it doesn’t run your looking for a spark. JJH

IT lives! Thanks to Chad and his GS911 the fault was with the fuel pump controller.

I appear to have dislodged the fuel line when I swapped out the FPC for a new one. Now up and running like before.
