PDF Edit Protetion

I have an active subscription of Adobe Creation Cloud and use Acrobat to edit PDF files. No issue most of the times. But recently came across a problem that the PDF file is not editable even for copying.

How to remove the restriction?

Normally:
1 Open a file in Acrobat.
2 Click on the Edit PDF tool in the right pane.
3 Click the text or image you wish to edit. Acrobat shows you the tools you’ll need.
4 Add or edit text on the page. Lines and paragraphs reflow automatically, or you can click and drag to resize elements.
5 Add, replace, move, or resize images on the page using selections from the Objects list.
6 Click on the Link, Headers and Footers, Watermark, or Background tool to edit your PDF further.

But - is it possible that it has been edit-protected with a password? My bike insurance policy docs are done that way.

Can you not print it to another pdf and edit that one?

@Blackal, I followed the exact steps before posing in here. it asks me password to remove the protection.

@stolzy, the protection is still there even save it as another pdf

You need the password.

Got the password after running this program for almost one month. The only way is to brute-force the password for open protection. Luckily, the encryption is much less strong than Office.
