Any opinions on the best tyre paste/bead sealer available in the UK?
I've used pale orange (defo not KTM orange!) soapy stuff from my tyre dealer. Works great initially to lube and seal, but seems to leak after a while (six months or so), maybe it dries out? But breaking the bead is easy, it doesn't "go off".
And I had a tyre fitted by someone, who used black stuff which didn't leak, but it did "go off". I had a pretty hard job breaking the bead, and wouldn't have liked to have been somewhere remote and in a hurry. Plus it left a messy residue hard on the rim. So I don't ever want this stuff again. I think it may be the stuff they advertise for corroded rims.
So is it too much to ask to have something that doesn't start leaking, and also doesn't glue the tyre to the rim?
