One of my mates out here has big problems with the fact that I've finally ordered my new bike (as well as, not instead of, I hasten to add).

However, just to prove that I really do not give a fcuk, I'm showing you bunch of p!sstaking sods the picture that he's just sent me.

All I can say is bring it on … :D

Ah! a Berg (goes all misty eyed) I had a 400 for 18 months, then a 450 for 6 months. Best bikes I ever rode, but complete b*****ds when they decide that they don't want to play, and indirectly responsible for the breakdown of my marriage!

Seems like a really good mate as he's obviously concerned about your known 'stability problems' ;)

So which one are you getting ?
I’ve gone for a FE 450e, with four wheels.

No, I’m not talking about stabilisers, I’m talking about 17” rims with road rubber for commuting like a hooligan, and the standard knobbly clad enduro wheels, so that I can practice falling off on some slightly softer terrain.

… and would you believe that the “stability problems” that lead to my intimate inspection of the Keilder tarmac wasn’t a kick in the arse of 12 months ago. How time flies …

hussy

Hey Earthmover.

I recognise the Hussy comment, the marriage breakdown and the address.

How are the boig busters and Ken, talking about marriage break downs?

Check out the North West Forum and weekend ride. You doiung the Dyfi or is it too easy for you?

Oops! Rumbled. :D How the hell are you? Got the GS dirty yet?

How much time have you got? Paul seperated his right knee at the Welsh, Liam broke his ankle, also at the Welsh. Ken's broken his scaphoid looping a brand new KTM 250 a couple of weekends ago, but is loved up big stylee by a new squeeze. Desne has dislocated her hip, so her and Paul can make a good team. Otherwise I think everyone is fine

I do, and hope to be able to join in, one day.

You doing the Dyfi or is it too easy for you?

Sent my entry last week, when it became obvious that my house move would not be going as planned. One of my favourites. You?

I knew it was you Mark. Sorry earthmover !!
If I remember right, That Husky of yours, well most of them, spent most of their time upsaide down with you standing beside it with a fag, sorry cigarette, in your mouth.
The "ridesorg" list is missing all your comments, and Pauls, and Liams.

Yep, doing the Dyfi, see you there on Saturday.
Enjoyed a ride out with "Rushy" and others from the North West forum a few weeks ago in the lakes. Good run out, very interesting, tell you about it some time. May join them again this bank holiday weekend, depending on home issues - know what I mean- I am sure you do.

Selling the GS1150 and got a GS1200 arriving on the 1st Sept.

Are you now going to sell your house to that "friend" who kept asking?
Keep smiling bonny lad.

Malc, we had better continue this discussion at the Dyfi, 'cos there is too much to tell, and we've hijacked someone elses thread!

Zebedee - enjoy the Berg, and ignore everyone's comments (especially KTM owners), they really are a fantastic piece of kit. Mine were without doubt the best handling off-road bikes I have ever had. Keep a close eye on valve clearances (or get someone you trust to do it for you), change the oil regularly and buy an optimate. Other than that, just point it at the horizon and hang on!

Mark,

From what I've heard, pointing them at the horizon is quite difficult, they keep wanting to point the front wheel at the sky :D
