    Bridge Of Cally Hotel

Me and Christine stopped off here for a meal last night. Great stuff. The chicken stuffed with haggis was excellent. Decent prices too. It's on the main Blairgowrie/Braemar road.

Thumbs down The Red Lion, Culross, Fife....

We've been going here for several years and eating al fresco. A recent visit was a serious disappointment. The food was as good as ever but the service was appalling. When I complained, the manageress said that "dining room orders have to take priority". She didn't seem to understand that as a paying customer who paid up front and wasn't alerted to this strange policy when I did so, I was less than impressed. Serving staff were surly and unhelpful as well.

I wrote a letter of complaint to the owner, who just happens to ride an R1100RS and didn't get the courtesy of a reply.

I suspect that the service is a victim of the place's success.

    Not recommended......

    The Taybank in Dunkeld.
Average but wholesome food. I like the Beef Stovie.
However, the live misic is fantastic.
    I wish I lived closer.

    Eyemouth

Mackay's of Eyemouth for the best fish and chips and their very own ice cream. Well worth a trip for either ... or both!

No website for the restaurant / takeaway, but for their B&B only www.mackaysofeyemouth.co.uk

    Great Fish & Chips.
I was there on Thursday while measuring up a kitchen.
May be back in the summer to fit it.
May see some of you then.

I think you're thinking about the chippie in Anst'er, Tash. (as visited recently by Robert de Nero)

It has enormous queues and isn't even the best in the area Ask Den...
