Thats great that were getting more folk to come on board....
And any promo for the run would be equally appreciated... if anyone has contacts with press... radio... etc.. I'm more than happy to give em some 'sound bites'...
Cheers... Sue....
Sue, It was good see the Griffin pics and the magazine article in First should add to all the efforts. In the background we are working with PR and events but to raise hopes when things are not done deals, is dissapointing when it doesn't happen.
As to press and radio. I helped Ela and her campaign, so here's something that you can adapt .. for BBC Lincolnshire radio (lincolnshire@bbc.co.uk) and BBC Humber radio (humber.online@bbc.co.uk)
Send an email to their local news link ...
add to it email the link of your regional pr page
http://www.ukgser.com/pinkwayaround/pr?.pdf
or make a download of this and send as a pdf file attached to an email and send to BBC local radio, then repeat for commercial stations if applicable and local news papers, as most have email addresses..
.. headline your email subject something suitable as (if my detail is not exact please correct or edit into your own style )

Yorkshire girl biker to ride in Breast Cancer Care Challenge
In September 2006, The UKGSer ‘Pink Way Around Britain’ Relay Challenge will be attempted by Yorkshire girl biker Sue Lohan and a team of riders on BMW GS bikes who will undertake a perimeter ride of approximately 3,000 miles around mainland Britain in four days to raise funds for the charity Breast Cancer Care.
The ride itself is divided into 12 regional legs where each GS girl rider with support from two GS colleagues shall ride along a pre-determined route within their region before passing on a symbolic baton (in this case, a pink bra) to her colleague who then continues the challenge until they have circumnavigated mainland Britain.
“Each GS girl rider is thrilled to be taking part in this unique relay challenge as it’s a great way of raising money plus the awareness of Breast Cancer and is seeking contributions or pledges of support from individuals as well as from the local business community”
Sue is available for interview, call her on 0???? xxxxx or email ??@xxxx.com

I am sure in this news thin summer season, and on a local level you should have some success. In the past, if one news gatherer picks up on it and uses, then the others will also run if only to show they have not missed it. If you need help pm or email me. Let me know how you get on
