Morocco - like I said, it won't be easy

Gavin had to stay in Erfoud with Aziz's family untill either his finger was healed well enough to ride or what now seems to be happening getting the bike shipped to France from Casablanca and flying home :nenau

The bike with the dodgy TPS limped back to Santander a few days early as did two others who had perhaps had enough.

Ian and I had 3 nights in the Picos de Europa rode the great piste from Espinama to Sotres and many fantasric roads besides.

oh senorita no photos ;)

'' We must have been 40 minutes from the hotel in Tinerhir when I came across the raging brown flood water across the piste, I started riding across with a little too much enthusiasm, as you do :rolleyes: , the water flooded over my visor and the next thing I feel is er, wet. :eek: . ''

-Do you still have water and sand in your pockets? :cool:

Thank you for the pictures;
now I know I do not want to ride my Scarver in Morocco! :eek:

..but I'm sure trips like this are fun, real fun! :bounce1 :beer:

:) Liv.

Despite what some may feel, it wasn't all hard. Here in lovely surroundings in Marrakech we had a Hammam, a wash, scrub, sauna and massage.

At the end my masseur asked quietly if I wanted any 'extras', I declined, it was a burly man :eek: Besides the others were waiting ;)

At Khamliya, south of Merzouga, musicians from Mali played while we drank mint tea, and had a whip round for them :rolleyes:

On the far, eastern side of Erg Chebbi and close to the Algerian border we saw a handful of nomadic people scraping an existance together. The tourist industry now subsidises their income slightly.

Here a blanket is being woven on a loom.

Some donkeys were more overladen than even a novice GS'er at a weekend rally:eek:

We saw lots of these fortified towns perched on steep flat-topped hills. This one is on the road heading south to Tafraoute.
