in the laund o'the lang spane.
G'day all,
ooh! my back has been suitably chastised by the birch switch (mmm).
Nearly erred on Saturday.
Took K1200S out for a test ride from Clarkies, was VERY impressed, even offered an affordable deal, spoke to a certain ex-officer for his views, temptation was upon me!
On getting home on my 'K' transferred to the big 'R' did my duty by a girl from Lanarkshire who's Ducati 900 had clutch probs outside Cupar, escorted her off the premises, burger at Loch Leven then a run over the Rossieochil way to Dunning then home. The GS is the business, nothing else will do me! phew.
Slept like a bairn that night.
Hols next week , off oop Norff and down west coast with bike and tent, yeah!

cheers,

We're only on this world once(unless your Hindu)

if you want it go for it :D

life's to be lived Robbo and the air to be breathed!

Robbo, its a magic bike. Some folk consider it a 'tourer' in their style. Me I need an HGV nad thats what the GS gives me, that and the lovely riding position. I was so comfortable and balanced too. A wee bit stiff for maybe 5 miles at the 60 mile mark then fine if only the tank was huge and the days longer.
I need to hurry now you see as getting aulder my second childhood is fast approaching. I'm in my 20's now and the teenscene is just roundthe corner, lol.
Nah , horses for courses, ma yellowhorse will do me.I still have my Krs (more leisurely than the Ks) for those 'away' days.
cheers.

Never mind the age jibes Alan.
You're never too old.
Yon auld fella frae Aibirdeen, Bill Downie, has just got hissel an Aprilia RSV Mille, and he's a REAL auld git!!!!!!

K1200S is the dogs, but the K1200R is a bigger hoot.

See ya.

Aboot time he binned the 'K' Ron. Is it in the museum now as he said he would due to its 250 thou mileage?
Just back from two weeks around the N of Scotland mainly SYHA.
Nice to hear from you.
Does Bill's erse look big on the new bike?

best regards,

Hi Alan.

No, Bill has bought the Mille to play on, He still has the R1100.

OK on the tour of Scotland. A great way to see the country.

Dunno about Bill's erse, but would imagine it'll hing ower a bit !!!

See ya

Ron

hing on till I let mair watter oot o' ma heed. Aye richt got the Bills mixed up of course.
Dis the ither Bill wae the K still have it on the road?
Don't remember Mr Downie having an R11rt . Not seen him since the Dully.
cheers,

Mr. D. has R1100R
you're thinking of Bill Gault, who still has the K100RT (upon which he has just (is still) doing a sponsored ride round Europe for Breast Cancer. The bike has now done 250K+ and is still going very strong. He recently bought (I think) a K1100LT off ebay, but still uses the RT the most.

ah! didn't realise it was 250K thought it was good old miles. Still very good though.
cheers

Alan, I could be wrong but I think 250k means 250 thousand miles. The "k" meaning "thousand" as opposed to "kilometres". It's an easy mistake to make for people of our generation.

I know these things because I keep a street vibe and hang out with my Home Boys and Hoes :thumb

Get with it Daddio

ok ok ok so it does :stupid , shit :flush . thinks , will take sleeping bag to back balcony from now on :sleep . what with :censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor:s chasing me :mcgun re their mum in law  to some tosser going aff with a waen on his bike to this, ma auld head :rob canny take the pace o' this life :tears . mind av jist got a slow GS, but it is YELLOW :clap .Man its a guid job a took that early retirement.
