Dear All,

Sorry for the delay with the "trip Journal", but we've had a real battle with our 'so called' International ISP, who isn't, so we have been able to receive emails but not send.
Our Journal is now up to date (up to 13-06-2003) and will be going up on the web site in the next day or so, so please be patient a little longer.

Well, Lisa celebrated her 41st birthday (9th June) on the Arctic Circle and bloody cold it was too. We were both so exited to be there it didn't really seem to matter. Some way further up and we have made it to Hammerfest, the World's Northern most town, which in turn was stepping stone to our first
big target NORDCAPP (North Cape).

We are now in Finland (Lapland) by the lake of Inarijarvi. We had to leave Norway ASAP as it was killing our budget plans.

Anyway it's now 1am (17-06-2003) our time and bright sunshine outside (how weird is that)?.

Well were getting ready to leave Finland after a relaxing few days even the sun decided to make an appearance. Both bikes have been serviced and all fluids changed before we make our way North again heading for KIRKENNES and the north Russian border. Everybody keeps warning us of the roads and bandits. We're both more than a little apprehensive.

If any of you lot get a chance to ride to Finland 'DO'. For us it's a staging point but the country is majestic and the people so friendly.
