ps, is it possible to have Adv panniers bead blasted and hard anodised or will the processes involved knacker the glued together bits. If possible, where's a good place to get it done?

I think you'll kill them altogether if you do anything like that to them (oh dear, how sad ) Just throw them in the nearest skip where they belong, and get some decent stuff.
