I currently have broadband via NTL and want to go wireless. Whilst I'm happy enough with NTL at the moment, when my current incentive deal expires I'll shop around and may well change to an ADSL "phone line" broadband deal.

Whenever I see wireless routers etc advertised they all appear to be designed to work with either ADSL or DSL. Is there anything out there that will let be set up a wireless network for 2 PCs that will work ok with NTL for now, but then allow me to change to ADSL sometime in the future??

Not 100% sure if there is such a beast but:

You could simply buy a router and wireless access point to connect to your existing cable modem (assuming its an ethernet version). Did this for my brother in law and works fine.

Then when you move off cable, just buy an ADSL ethernet modem to replace the cable modem...? No need to reconfigure the wireless router.

Thanks for the advice. I managed to buy a used 54g wireless router on fleabay for £9 including post!:D So even if I do end up scapping when I go on ADSL I've not lost much.
