Hi all,

I have it on good authority there is a new 1200 GS model approaching from BM. No price or launch date yet but here it is………

BMW 1200 GS Explorer!

So what is it all about? It’s a standard 1200 with the Adventure screen and also .........wait for it! An Akapovic exhaust as standard, it also has/keeps the cast wheels.

That’s all the details I have but trust me the info is very reliable! :augie

Anybody else heard owt???

It sort of makes sense - depending on price. That's close to the spec I am after with my bike anyway. With the exception of the alloy wheels! :rolleyes:

Right then, stick an Adventure screen on and I have an 'Explorer'. Just lurrvve the Akra exhaust:thumb
 
The thieving bastards! They've gone and copied my bike.
 
Apparently, Dutch Importer enquired about this spec of bike to BMW. The reply was would make a run of 200 bikes to that spec.

There is a possibility of dealers in UK ordering a production run of 200 bikes to same spec, if there are enough takers.

Thats according to a dealer I spoke to yesterday.
 
According to MCN (yeah, I know :rolleyes: ), this bike is solely for the Dutch market and the UK headquarters have no intention of bring it in. Likewise the more sporty F800.
