With any intercom, you obviously cannot wear ear plugs.

1) What stops you going deaf, if anything?
2) Can you hear anything in the loud GS slipstream?
3) Is it desirable to allow the Mrs to bleat or better to be in complete ignorance that she needs a pee?

Serious questions requiring serious answers..anyone?

1. Unless the earplugs have tine loudspeakers in them. Mine do !! Custom made ones.
2. Yes
3. Well, if you like sitting in a warm puddle....

1. With the Autocom you can wear earplugs as the speakers fit inside your crash helmet.
2. You can still have a normal conversation flat out on the GS, but the time must be taken to set it up correctly.

Ummm.......................................................no! Point taken.

I use custom made ear plugs without filters. Can hear speech perfectly with Autocom. Pro-7 has option to boost amplification when using ear plugs.

FWIW, Ben, it works just fine with ear plugs. In fact, I've found that with most of the wind roar knocked out by the plugs, other sounds (such as a voice over the intercom) become more obvious.
