Arai Tour X Parts / Servicing

Hey Guys,

My Tour X is getting a bit long in the tooth, but is still serviceable. apart form a few nicks and scratches two of the air vents have popped out so I need to replace one of the front slightly tear drop shaped vents and the full rear double vent. I have removed both and found that the mountings have snapped off.

What are your recommendation for a repair? I know that you can order black or clear replacements, (mine is grey metallic) send it away to Arai, (don't fancy this as I've only got one helmet,) or bite the bullet and get a new one for £500.

I would bite the bullet and get a new helmet.

Then have the Arai assessed by a dealer or service tent at a show to see if replacement vents can be fitted to broken mounts. You can get a free service and they will replace any piece when they have stock. The issue I've found is that they rarely keep Tour X spares at the shows.

My Tour X also has broken vents and is 5 years old. I keep it for summer town rides and off road but use a Schuberth or Shoei for touring.
