Where to? Looks like you kept the Markus under-seat tank on, or are you going to take it off and let me buy it. ;)

All tucked away :D It's not Timolgra's or anyone elses, It's just come with me to my new home.... Hopefully it will get more use now as i'm in mid Wales..
Trails everywhere, looking forward to getting it back on the road:thumb2

I'm not surprised you are keeping it, values are going up.
At what point will it get to before you think it's too valuable to take off road?

I'm not sure on that one, but i bought it to use not to look at,

If that other one is worth 15 and a half grand this must be worth well over 20 now:rolleyes:, with all the kit, wheels, 2 hpn tanks, under seat tank...

It's a fantastic machine, and in the time i have owned it it's been great fun and will continue to be:thumb

Is it not possible to take a standard GS12 take all the rubbish off and fit a HPN tank HP2 seat unit and Ohlins shock and achieve a similar bike, without the cache of course. Would it not be possible to create a much cheaper version? Are they polar opposites?

In a short one....NOPE...

Different engine internals, frame, conventional forks, and about half the weight:D

Saying that, mine has that much shit bolted on, it probably weighs the same as a Gs:blast

Yep.. got an 1190r... just been round picos and pyraneese for 2 weeks. .. great bit of kit

excellent choice,

I wonder if you can let us know how you like it and how it compares with the HP2 once you had a chance to ride it for a month or two

cheers

Thought so, you have a similar taste in bikes to me.
When the HP2 was launched I came so close to buying one, however that boat has now sailed and I can't see the point in paying over the odds for a bike that is increasing in value due to its scarcity than it's ability off road.
It would be interesting to me if KTM took the 1190R and made its own version of the HP2, more of a travel enduro, they could fit front and rear fuel tanks similar to the 450RR to balance the bike and still reduce the overall weight.
What are your thoughts Rocky, would this be viable?

Like the KTM 950 Super Enduro, you mean?

My HP2 went to a new home and a new owner yesterday, and I had to watch him riding away on it.:tears

What ?? And why ??

Ergonomics mainly. It wasn't a decision I made quickly, and it was a tough one to make. I know I'll miss the bike, but there's no point having a bike I can't enjoy riding.
