Front brake fix & latest fuel map??

My bike was in the other day for a recall. Whilst it was in, I asked them to fix the squeaking front brakes, which I'd been told was a simple shim fitment.

I appear, however, to have got 2 new front discs and a new set of front pads! Is this normal?

Also whilst it was in I had the latest fuel map downloaded. The bike now appears to have more low down torque and a 'crisper' exhaust note/induction roar, or is it my imagination?

Took my RT in for the ABS/servo check and it too came out with new front discs and pads - said they found some corrosion arond the mounting bolts

Mike R - does your power socket still work (either the one under the seat or the GPS one)? Mine's a bit tempermental after the recent software update. Although the fuel injection is much improved so I'm not complaining too much
