BMW GS BOOTS

The answer is in short downpours yes. In prolonged commuting rain NO.

I Nik-waxed mine thoroughly before the Morocco trip.

Rode back from Portsmouth in the pouring rain when we got back from Morocco & my feet stayed dry.

i have the older bmw savanah boots

got them really cheap just as Bmw were bringing out teh newer ones,, paid 120 irish for them..

heh heh

have found them great..

comfortable, very waterproof..

and i even wear them around work when i cant be bothered to change them..

and the steel toecap protectors are very handy for reminding car drivers not to drive so close..

..

next purchase will be sidi couriers though,, everybody says they are great and the look the bizz as well..

I've had a pair of the SIDI's for about 10 months now.
They are an extremely comfortable pair of boots.
Metal toe plates wore away after about 8/9 months.
However, these boots are not waterproof. Slightest amount of spray and your feet get wet.
So don't take'm out in the rain or invest in a pair of Gortex socks.

My Sidis took a good soaking the other day, I reckon a good waxing might make them waterproof enough.
