Taken on 14Jan06 ...

... from the top of the tower in the Zebrabar in Senegal, THE best campsite I've ever been to

The blue/white van in centre shot was our support vehicle.

First, a trip down to Cornwall on the weekend England got beaten by Portugal in the World Cup. Brilliant weather and many beers at the pub next to the campsite as i drowned my sorrows.

Second, in the Pyrenees the first time with our huge Kyham tent. Woke up to this view every morning

Not so much as a favourite camping spot, 'cos we only stopped for one night, but most certainly two of the best

1) Wild camping in Kyrgyzstan, there's a 'six pack' in a cargo net hung in the river

2) Wild camping in the Gobi Desert, early morning, it was rather cold

These places look absolutely stunning Micky. Did you camp much during that last trip or was it mainly hotels and hostels?

Cheers Tom

We camped just nine times in that six month trip, once out of Europe the hotels were soooo cheap

Early in the trip you couldna get a tent peg in the ground
