Only had my GoPro 2 HD for a couple of months, and just seen this is coming in November!:blast

Not that I'd be able to tell the difference between my 2 and the new 3. Will wait another year and get a GoPro8:blagblah:blast:D

looks good. would have been nice if they'd changed the crappy mount system though.

Agreed.:beerjug: The GoPro does look a bit "teletubbies":blast If I had £1 for every person that asked me what it is and what it's for, that'd be the new bike bought n paid for!

Review here
Image quality is probably second to none of all the action cameras

Its a lot smaller also

I've decided to take a punt on the Drift Ghost instead, should be here tomorrow.

I can't dig the GoPro design.

Yep, that does look:cool: Will have a play at the bike show next week

GoPro - my experience when riding in rain

Hmmm - just wonder if it is really a pro model...
When I use it when it in rainy weather, some vapor is made and condense just in front of the lence. Last summer - or should I say - rainseason in Norway, where we went on holiday, the video made for this tour crossing Trondåsen meant a lot of the video were not good due to he vapor/condensing.
Sorry GoPro - that is not at all accaptable that a water thight hoursing sucks up water. So you might understand that I am not at all happy for that.
The sound is not fantastic, so I understand the never models have option for external microphone - that is pretty useful.

Some people said putting a few grains of rice inside the HERO housing does this trick! Otherwise GoPro does sell anti-fog packs! I have yet to try mine in wet weather though!

Thanks for the hint with rice grains. I am aware they sell the anti-fog, but to me it is all down to wrong design... and then I do nor fancy buying stuff to compensate for that..

i've had fogging issues with mine while snowboarding in falling snow. to be expected i suppose, but i've also had trouble in bright sunshine, descending mountain passes on the bike.

i now have the demist inserts, but i've not tried them yet.

Use the waterproof case and turn it all on before you leave the warmth and dry of your accommodation.

Greg

isn't that just going to flatten the battery?

i use the waterproof case and turn it on and off as needed. it doesn't always misty, but i've learned to keep an eye on it.
