Picked up my reupholstered, shaped and covered seats yesterday as sculptured by Dave of Digger Seats.

I had a BMW OEM low seat on anyway but it wasn't very comfortable and often left me with a numb-bum.

So, as I only live 50 miles away I took a punt and went down to Newport in South Wales and after speaking with Dave decided to leave them in his care and the piccies below show the result. Dave stripped the rider seat padding all the way back and replaced it with a slightly softer foam as well as lowering the overall hight by about a centre metre. Not much but every little helps, eh?

Now I sit squarely in the saddle and it feels really good. Went up to Leicester and back today on mostly boring motorways and it still felt good. NO Numb-Bum! Result.

He's done two of my fathers bikes.
Well Recommended.
Considering 20mm out of the front of mine.

How you getting on with the set?
I called him today to sort something out with mine, unfortunately he wont have time to fit it in before i go to the Lakes on the 14th, my fault for not arranging it earlier. Gonna get a sore arse that weekend :D

Give Tony Archer a bell, did my seats recently (gel pads) sent my seats on a Monday and got them back on Friday the same week, I've used his services twice and rate his work highly :thumb

I'm chuffed to bits with it, Buz. I've done a fair few miles on it and the only time I've had any aches or pains of any sort whatsoever have been down to me, my age and my body that's slowly falling apart! :rob

Seriously, it was well worth the money and, I reckon, it has enhanced the look of the bike too.

Another Digger happy customer, used him around 5 years ago to upgrade my 1150GSA seat and have done a 3500 mile euro trip on the seat with great comfort. Got him to do a seat on my Kwaka ZL1000 and plans to get another seat in to him as well.

What is great is that the quality is exceptional, comfort fantastic and he isn't a money grabber so you get a seat easily as good (some would argue better) than the leading brands yet the price is very affordable.

Anyone getting down to Weston Super Mare bike nights on Thursdays provided the weather is good he is usually down there.

I've read alot of comments on how good Tony Archer seats are, I had both of mine done, Gel inserts on both seats, £190. Just back from the Southwest of France well 2000 miles covered and I have to say it was a waste of money, :blast, the comfort was absolutely no difference to my original seats, ended up buying a Sheepskin pad from Lambland £15. which made a slight improvement. 1150gs owned for 10 years. 5' 9". 12, 1/2 stone. :tears

Dropped mine in to Digger last weekend, told him i'd chase him next week, he has a lot on at the moment! Should be getting the same job Medicman had done :thumby:

Hoping to pick mine up tomorrow. Had it nearly two weeks but leant me a std seat to keep me on the road. :-)
