Boxhill

Yes this is a normally busy one to stop at, we often do if we have been up to the Ace or somewhere on a wk end :thumb2

Oakdene Cafe

Popular meeting place for bikers. Attracts sportsbikes, dirtbikes, tassel tractors, trikes, local IAM group and just about everybody else. Lots of nice roads to be found close by. Good fry-up (award winning apparently). They do nice fluffy white bread and a good "milky coffee".

Shoreham Airport

One of my favourites is the cafe at Shoreham Airport.
Latitude, 50.835556 50° 50' 08.00" N. Longitude, -0.297222 000° 17' 50.00" W. Elevation, 7 feet 2 meters ...!!

The food is pretty good, the building is interesting Deco and when the weather is fine you can sit out on the terrace and watch planes and helicopters come and go.

Second favourite is the Aero club at Goodwood racetrack near Chichester.
Latitude: 50° 56' 30" N Longitude: 0° 50' 30" W

Again overlooking the airfield but has the added bonus of being right next to the racetrack which means there are always loads of intersting cars around.

If you go to this one make sure you go via the Goodwood horse racing track. This is up on the South Downs and the road leading up and past it is fantastic and the scenery at the top spectacular. Watch it though becuase both the road and the scenerey demand your attention and you can't do both!!

to follow on from the last post, having the pleasure of doing a bit of flying once in a while, you can generally find a cafe of some description at all airfields, so if you ever fancy a brew or bacon sarnie, then go on in and have a look. shoreham/goodwood are nice, as is lydd, rochester is ok, headcorn. others i have yet to try, redhill, panshanger, stapleford, andrewsfield, booker and many more to do.

Perhaps I might be able to mention one of my favourite pubs here - the Gate Inn at Marshside. Situated out in the country about 1.5 miles south of the 'Roman Galley' on the Thanet Way, this is a prime example of how pubs should be. The Shepherd Neame real ales come straight from the barrel (gravity), the log fire is always glowing, the floor is Yorkstone, and the doorstep Black Pudding/wholemeal bread sandwiches are unbeatable. If it's fine, there's a small garden where ducks from the stream wander around waiting for scraps. No canned music, no fruit machines, no chavs. Idyllic.:thumb2

Lovely - But i never drink alcohol during the day, or evenings if i'm driving/riding.

Loomies

Loomies Cafe

A32 southwest side of the junction with the A272 West Meon Hants

In the centre of mid Hants best biking roads.

Was the Little Chef now in biker friendly hands . Family run . Is proving to be a busy spot for local bikers of all descriptions. Good grub and reasonable value
