Psssst,don't tell the wife!!

That looks great :thumb.

(But Rob Farmer will want a balance pipe :augie).

Bob.

I understand what you're saying. However, I did take guidance, not just from Mikeyboy, and the straight out and into a 'Y' piece was favoured.

We'll just have to see how it runs.

I have a Gletter can about that size, on a 1000cc R80 G/S with a Staintunne OEM style system with a balance pipe and the small flat collector.
it is still either far to loud or too restrictive, there simply is no substitute for volume.
That db killer wont make much difference, you want one about a foot long with almost the complete length wrapped with exhaust packing and only a few holes open on the end for the MOT, then you can gradually slide the wrapping down until you have your preferred combination of sound and performance.
Good news is that it only starts getting restrictive as the revs build up, so if your motor pulls well from low revs and you rarely get past 4500 revs it will be work fine but if you regular use involves drag races reving out to max in each gear expect your times to stretch out about 10%.

The silencer has a full length absorption baffle in it, but until the motor is running I have no idea what sort of noise levels we have to deal with.
Day to day it doesn't really matter, but the bike will be noise tested for the LDT,s hence the additional baffle pipe!
If needed we can tailor an additional silencer with that to really shut the thing up,
As mr boff says,on the trials the motor won't be revving hard so all will be fine:thumb

On with the one off exhaust,
and the posh footrests:p
And a high power Dyna coil

The 'usual' blue is the French racing colour. I realise Gaston Rahier was Belgian, and I'm not sure of the reason why the older racing BMWs were painted in the French colour, perhaps a lot of French riders on BMWs.

However, I'm not French so I thought I'd have it in BRG. Who knows, this could be the start of my international racing career!!! :comfort

Green?

Are you fucking MAD???:rob

Carry on, it's not mine anyway.
And any advice I've ever given to you is just ignored anyway. Apart from you needing a much bigger tent.:D

Today’s tasks in between actually fixing things.
