Unpaved GS hardcore in the Balkans.

Louis and i are just over 2 weeks into a 4 week tour of Europe...
We are trying to do as much unpaved as possible in 4 weeks in as many countries as possible

Here are few pics of what we have been up to so far :thumb2

France a brief play

Italy time to cool off

Slovenia a fair bit more

Croatia loads and some intereseting stuff too

Bosnia Even more interesting

Montenegro Breathtaking :thumb2

Albania Very interesting ....We also met a group of Czech riders on one rather tricky 40 mile trail

Mecedonia Getting hotter

Greece HOT...We did loads of tracks

But not at 6500 feet :augie

Bulgaria still there at the moment....Some of the most difficult trails so far but ace fun....Took us 6 hours to do 40 miles

And it,s getting wetter :blast

Latest Update

We have just got to Slovakia

and got a wifi conection ( could not find any in Romania ) :thedummy

So here's a few more pics form the last few days

A intersting loop in Bulgaria that took us half a day

Started out not very well defined

Then turned into a trail ride :augie

Then got very vague

And rather rough :augie

There was a bit of rain in the night.....But at least it keept the dust down

Excellent report - just how do you find these lanes... I have seen your previous posts from Northern Spain and would love to know your sources... You must come up to NE Scotland and find some lanes for us up here...

The bridge crossing looked very iffy by the way

Not so sure it's the limit for the big GS's in the right hands :augie

But I have not ridden the GS as much on unpaved roads as Garry at times I was very close to my limits (over my limit only once dents to prove it & pic's)

Unpaved roads like this in Bulgaria on road tyres (thought it would be alot dryer will be taking TKC next time ) :confused:

Yep the zoom lense great invention

Louis " i will ride along the track just to show the scale of things "

As you can see he is almost lost on the vast hillside without the arrow you would struggle to spot the mighty 1200 :augie

And without the zoom he would have got away with it :blast

But no doubt about it we were pushing the limits on a loaded GS :augie
