Anyone care to compare the two bikes?
Anyone know if the G450X has a kick starter aside form the e-start?

Even worse if they say warranty is void if the machine is used off road
Comparing the G450X to anything right now is difficult as final specifications are sure to change and I always view manufacturers data with a degree of suspicion. My take on it is the G450X on paper looks fairly looks much of a muchness, maybe slightly lighter, maybe down on power than the current Euro and Japanese contenders and running Marzocchi forks up front (See HP2) The chain tension setup is nice however the clutch may bite some people in moments of stress as it has been suggested it is quite on or off. Also it is worth looking at the factory bikes to see where they have made changes, the obvious ones are Ohlins up front and new rims.
If the electric starter really does work after spills I will be pleased, and it is vastly preferable to trying to turn a left kicker after 4 hours of serious competition. Concerns for me are the service schedule and warranty, I am used to servicing my own competition machines and if moving the map to high power means a 10 hour service schedule that has to be done by BWM to keep the warranty in placeEven worse if they say warranty is void if the machine is used off road
I guess we will have to wait a few more weeks to see what happens, I have not seen anything new on the bike for a while now other than a price that was wrong and removed by Motorrad.
Just my 2p worth.
Husaberg used to be 30 days unless racedPretty sure that the KTM model is that there is no warranty on their enduro bikes after 30 days... for a racing bike I can't imagine any other model that would work and see no reason why BMW shouldn't follow a similar model.
What's a KTM450 XCR-W ?
Is that some whacky S American version of the EXC ?
Anyone care to compare the two bikes?

And what's the price for a KTM450EXC in UK?The G450X is aroung GBP5700
The G450X is aroung GBP5700 however UK prices are often up a bit on the Americas.![]()
Any BMW dealer I would have thought. I was told the first orders are GBP5695 after that they go up by GBP500.
Wollastons BMW in Northampton is where mine was ordered.I have spoken with BMW dealer and I was quoted £6020 and two other dealers could not even quote a price.
All this is interesting.
