We go to
http://www.caerfaibay.co.uk/
a lot. Unbeatable to wake up to view across St Brides bay - sometimes see dolphins and even Whales (as opposed to Wales).
Very relaxing to lie on surface of sea in nearby caves and rise and fall with the waves - up to the ceiling and back down.
I can also recommend coastateering as a fun activity.

Burrowhayes is a great little site and the pups over the hill in Porlock do great food.

Fairford air display
I go the Fairford air tattoo every year and stay at the Trout inn at Lechlade on Thames . It is a lovely country pub which opens its field at the rear when the airtattoo is on There is a toilet but no showers. It is only 5 miles from Fairford . Every year I have been they have put a band on night and it rocks. Also its on the fight path so you get see whats coming in . and its about £7 a night . I like it but been no where else around there!! I have already booked for this year , cant wait after last years wash out . If you google trout inn it comes up as the "World famous Trout Inn "............See ya there....Mel

Great Langdale is a good campsite, but watch out for the titchy wee stream over-flowing after heavy rain. Best to pitch on the higher ground near the fence. Old Dungeon Ghyll, what a quality pub.

Once camped there and fancied being by the bubbling brook.
Went off to pub - noticed it was raining a bit.
Settled back in the tent with the g/f
Knock on tent 20 minutes - "The river has risen 6 foot last 30 minutes, we're moving".
By the time I had packed up, there was 6" moving water over the campsite
Lost the triangular ridge pole thingy for the force ten and had to drive home!

Verdun
Myself and some friends stayed at this campsite in Verdun, during September 2006. www.camping-lesbreuils.com
Its about 10 mins walk from the town centre, and 15 mins ride from the forts, battlefields etc. The French people running it were friendly & welcoming to us, allowing use to use just one pitch for 3 tents.
It was clean & had a useful bar & you could order fresh bread croissants etc for the morning. Also has a swimming pool.
We only stayed for one night on the way through to Titisee, in Germany, but I would definitely use it again.
I would think that you would need to book to be sure of a place.
