Afternoon folks, I've been looking around for some replacement shocks for quite some time. Anyway i'm torn between buying wilbers, hyperpro or ohlins. In fairness the wilbers and hyperpro are the same price with the ohlins being around a £100 dearer.

I've read and re-read all the shock threads but still cannot decide on which to go for - i'm leaning towards the Wilbers simply because they're built to your spec and the 5 year gaurantee sounds appealing but have also heard good things about the hyperpro stuff on other sites as well.

Decisions, decisions - help!!

Wilbers for me. But the decision was kinda forced on me by someone on this site getting a group buy discount of 20%

I really appreciated the fact that the shocks were good to go from the moment they were on the bike.. as you say 'fully set-up' to my requirements.. no messing.

Its too easy to get tied up in knots about which to go for... as far as I can see they're all much the same.. with the Ohlins having the extra 'bling' factor some tossers simply can't do without.

If money had been more of an issue at the time.. I would've simply had the original shocks refurbed. £100 for the rear I believe.

well , 2bh ,im kinda glad that wilbers have a 5 year warrenty , my 1100 is in for its 25 ,000 service with the wilbers only being on the bike since june /july this year and been informed that the rear has blown , oil everywhere , spoke to supplier and thankfuly they will happily take a look and hopfully repair , i, dont ride off road so its not had any abuse , hope that its just one of those things , dont want to put you off as when fitted to the bike it really transformed the ride , and i was really happy with it , will let you know more details after the hols when i get the shock back from the supplier
