I've just spent the last 2 and a bit hours fitting a Touratech crash plate to my HP.:banghead::banghead: And I'm not even that happy with the end result - the middle left bracket is looking too close to the headers and I had to reverse the rear bracket to get it even close to the holes at the back  It also means I didn't get to go on the ride out I had been planning to today :tears

That being said - it does give the impression of giving a whole heap of protection and directing a lot of the forces away from the engine block.

How soon to your next oil change? It'll have to come off again for that :D

Apart from the usual scuffed knuckles, I had no alignment issues fitting mine :nenau

I did manage to get for a quick few miles...

I think it's the Remus headers that are adding to the issues :-(

as for oil changes... My hope is that as it's only the plate that has to come off and not the brackets it won't be too hard... Right?!

The front mounting bracket has to be loosened and twisted forward to allow access to the oil filter. :blast

No, it is a lot easier second time around.. don't remove the brackets..

just the 6 bolts.. ( btw I lost one or two of the bolts, so worth having some spare ones around or loctite them)

The remus headers do touch on the LHS.. haven't figured how to fix that..

as the remus headers do not fit well with my Touratech sump guard I would like to sell them..

anyone interested?

They are the model that fits the 1200GS 04-08 but they will fit the HP2 enduro,

unless of course you have a touratech sump guard in which case will touch on the LHS.
