Do you load POI files to your mapsource/basecam as well as the zumo?

Just taken delivery of my zumo 550 this week and started playing with it. Downloaded some POI files of Watton's from this forum (many thanks for all the effort on those btw).

I've dragged a couple of them over to basecamp and they sit on the left side, and I can upload them to the zumo with poi loader.

Do you normally load them all to basecamp/mapsource as well so that you can plan routes around them? Just trying to understand the best way to use them.

Thanks.

IIRC there's a finite limit to imported waypoints for the 550 etc, so any of them in Mapsource will use up the limit. But with POI's the only problem with them is exceeding the storage space of the zumo.

I personally keep POI's and waypoints seperate, and try and use points that are already in Mapsource as via points, IYSWIM.
