SDOC 100 Black and Shine is the product, about £12 a can from HG - German made

It dries to a hard wax, which needs polishing after initial application and then will repel water and dirt, from sticking to it afterwards.

I poured some clean water over the gearbox casing and it just ran off.................off a duck's back:augie

Certainly looks better now:thumb

Thanks go to Sloukes for the recommendation of SDOC 100 Black and Shine:clap

Tch, sloppy:D

there is another thread extolling the virtues of the gel cleaner as well.
Re distribution - get your self out on the road and sell some - I'm doing my bit asking for it in every shop I go to!!
So far, have only found HG selling it:rob

I'd be interested to see the casings ( engine & g/box ) after they've done a few heat cycles to see if the finish changes.........

can sir oblige in that front with some piccies please ?

Here's a pic of my Harley engine after a 250 mile round trip on Sunday - engine was cleaned with sdoc100 about 1000 miles ago.

Chainspeed sell this stuff aswell, worked out cheaper than anywhere else with postage and HG are to far away for me.

Still advertised as black & shine but newer version is now called colour refresher

Did you use the hand pump gel or the spray tin?

I bought the aerosol, used it on the bike today for the first time and very pleased with the job. Also went over the rather faded rubber and plastics on my car. Looks good now, will be interesting to see how long it stays like it, most other finishers fade within a short time.

Does not last long at all, not that impressed, looks great when applied, even seems a good finish, first heat cycle, done :blast

No better than any other product I've tried and Scotland isn't exactly the harshest condition on earth.

The only lasting answer is to re-spray it. As I've had my GSA from new, I tried to keep on top of it by putting a good coat of quality polish on it but TBH, the coating isn't all that thick.

I resprayed mine (in situ), fiddly but it looks heaps better.

How long is long, works between deep cleans on mine
