Hi looking for some pointers on what to try next.....
This morning my 05 R1200 gs failed to start for the first time after 18 years of great service
Here go's
I changed the FPC still the same
checked the plugs not wet cleaned them and put them back
unplugged one of the injectors and tried to start but no fuel was sprayed out
no errors on the screen
So I am at a loss what do you think the next move should be please any tips much appreciated

Cheers
Eddie

Is the fuel pump priming ?

Flip the filler cap up, put your ear to the opening turn on ignition, press the starter .. did you hear the fuel pump prime/run

Hi Stepto
I did not hear any noise from the tank at all just the normal electrics and servo noise

Your fuel pump could well have died if you have already replaced the FPC with no improvement.

Not a difficult job to replace the fuel pump, I’d recommend a Quantum pump asa replacement, although cheap Chinese ones seem to work just as well.

Hopefully “Mistacat” will be along soon to add more detail, he’s a bit of an expert on the matter.

Thanks Adam
will take a look at the Quantum pump asa replacement

That should read “as a replacement” not “asa”, (fat fingers on my iPad keyboard yet again !)

In my case I fitted one like the first one you show (eBay) but then bought a metal mahle high pressure external fuel filter and did the fuel filter mod.
