Hi, I,ve now got 4000 miles on the GSa and I am thinking of fitting my remus and y piece that I removed from my 02 1150 gs (is it compatable with The Adv?).

I only had it fitted about a month and then changed the bike for the Adv.

However since then I have noticed a wide variation of comments about whats best (y/standard can - y/remus - leave it as standard)

Is there a definitive answer? I cant say I was all that impressed with it on the old bike, but saying that it was a single spark and the Adv is so much smoother (thats why I changed).

Any advice much appreciated, failing that anyone want to buy a can and Y piece??

Hi Rob with regards your Y piece it will fit straight on as will the can.
All the best

I would just fit the Y piece and sell the end can on E-bay. End can makes little difference unless you like being noisey

Thanks Liam

Just had some Tkc's fitted today at Sharples, the bike looks fantastic.

I might just fit the y piece and then get it dyno'd just to be on the safe side,

regards to you and your family

I'm riunning a GSa with Y and standard can. Suits me fine - the end note is better for the Y, but not offensively loud, and the standard can has quite a nice note like this, to my ear. Definitely noticed the Y improvement - not earth shattering, but surely there nonetheless. Generally, running is perfect - not a single *pop* ever, and doesn't seem to be running leaner than before (my Y has a sensor plug hole, so I'm running the sensor).

Can't see the point of a fancy end-can, unless you really want more/a different noise. Which actually means I can see the point of the can, but I'd can the can if you can do, if I were you. Which would actually be a toucan do. (Enough - Ed, even if it is Christmas).

Thanks for that bigtwin :D

I think I will go down that route, i,m not bothered about the noise, it didnt sound that good on the old bike anyway :eek
