'06 1200GS cutting out (but not the same as the other thread)

Found someone with a GS911 they'd part with, I should have it before the weekend. I've also ordered a few parts, not sure if I'll need 'em...we'll see!

Ok, the GS911 showed that the O2 sensors are working properly. I just received two new primary coils today. I'll try them this evening and report the results!

Well, the last time it was "fixed," it came back, but I have a pretty good feeling it's done now.

As soon as I put the new primary coils in and cranked it, I knew it would be different. The idle was better, the low speed parking lot maneuvers were smoother...it really did run like...well...like I don't remember when! Once away from the populace I opened her up and nary a quabble...strong acceleration with no hesitation at all. Idles perfectly after acceleration. No bucking, no cutting out.

Thanks all, for your time and assistance. I'll be back if it doesn't hold this time, but my feeling is that it will. :friday

There's nothing as frustrating as a problem like that.

But, there's nothing quite as satisfying as fixing it, too!

Well done for cracking the problem, and also for documenting the process.

Very soon, someone with just the same issue is going to be very grateful to you.

:clap

Gents, just wanted to check back in with you. I took the bike out for a 600+ mile trip last weekend in the twisties of S. Korea and some dirt riding. Nary a problem, not one. I really think she's sorted now. Thanks again!
