Nope - IT Contractor........started spreadsheet on first bike during very dull contract......that WAS a company bike :) Fell into the habit of noting down mileage and petrol receipts - never got out of it.

I'm that this dull normally - honest......well......mostly not.

You missed the insurance costs.

So, based on your other thread, your cost to replace will be £6500 say. Total expenditure is then £14,421 equalling 34p a mile all in. £42.23 a day to use your bike on your commute.

have you also fallen into the habit of only using your back brake?

42k mile and no pad changed sound a bit odd...

Hmmm.......I never include depreciation to be honest........you'd never buy another vehicle. I had a 2yr old E39 BMW M5 a while back....I'd cry if I factored in the depreciation on that......

I can honestly say I never use the back break - I use the front when filtering. I've got one of the early 1200 GSA's - so the bias is shocking - it eats rear pads and discs.

38.74 mpg ? My 09GSA 2000miles yes miles not kms (I got bike from NI) gets 45-46 mpg brim to brim and 340 miles to 7 miles left and I dont hang around. JJH
