07 R1200GS adv wheels

Hi There,

I am looking at buying a second set of rims for my 07 GS adv so I can have some offroad tyres and a second set with road tyres. I am wondering if anyone knows how much they cost? Ive rung around a few dealers and was somewhat surprised at the cost (£400ish each). Anyone have any idea if those prices can be beaten?

Remember it does not end with buying the wheels.........you also need discs....and of course tyres. It is an expensive option. The you have to spend the time changing the wheels.

I do understand possible having a spare set of wheels for a pukka dirt bike / supermoto..........but the GSA is such a great all rounder.

Or maybe you could live with a compromise??

..........Or how about putting the cash to getting a supermoto or something?? You can get a very good condition KTM 640 for just a few grand.............that's what I did

You mean like this to change,Back wheel with tyre,5 mins,Front wheel with tyre /swop discs 20 mins,To get a set off gsa spoke rims !!!!expensive and hard to get second hand.,To buy new £1200ish

just use the tkc 80's all the time or a good cross perpuss tyre, metslers as I do they work very well on any thing , but sand ,if you think I'm talking shite just look at the pics gnasher smumug look for dakar 2008 adventure riders cheers ozz

when you cahnge your discs at the front should you also change the disc mounting bolts????
