08/9 GSA Baglux

Hi All,

Has anyone got a plain black or the black/magnesium tank cover fitted on a 08 or 09 GSA, if you have, have you got a picture of it as i am considering getting one to use with my baglux tank bag.

Thanks Claw but ive seen it on the red one and just wanted to se if the "grey" section looks dirty after a while, if so i would go for the plain black.

A friend of mine has the 'silvery / grey' Baglux cover on an 08 GS. I saw it on Sunday. Looks OK.

I guess you could take it off and scrub it from time to time? Or even leave it on and scrub it?

I think it would be a safe bet to assume the lighter the colour the more grubby, particularly as the cover has a fake leather dimpling to it.

PS I may see the bike again next weekend. If I do I will see how grubby it is and report back.

I had a silver/grey one on a zzr600. It stayed remarkably clean however the bike wasnt used like the GS is. It only covered 16000 miles over 4 years. Still i thought the cover stayed looking well and it never got cleaned.

Black is the answer.

The grey panels on my red & grey baglux cover can sometimes get a bit grubby in the grain of the faux leather, but scrub up like new with soap and water.

Been on the bike for over 4 years with no problems.

Baglux are the ones, i ordered mine from a company called Trophy, number is 01745 823333.

Mine is due here soon to fit to my 2 week old GSA, i had a black tank cover on my 08GS and it looked good.

I see your at Heathrow, im only at Feltham so when it arrives you can have a look mine and all my other extras

I had a light grey cover on my titan silver R850R. Once it got dirty, a quick scrub and polish with Amourall did the trick. I don't think you need to worry, as long as you don't leave the grime stuck on too long.
