That's a clamp like you use on a bicycle wheel!

I still trying to get my dealer to instal my GPS on a standard 08' GS. He can't get the parts. I'm thinking that I will just get an Adventure windscreen and work with your set up. Your setup looks good!

It says 71 60 7 699 082 on the box of mine.
Was about 50 Euro, as I remember.

Works very well for me, so I agree with the TS.
