'09 '10 990 adventure

Torn between getting either an f 800gs and the ktm for my next bike. Would prefer the ktm but there seems to be a lot of post of bikes with poor mileage but all seems to be the older models.

Whats the average miles you get out of a tank on an '09 or '10 adventure?

Cant speak for the 09-10 model but I have an 07 990, I can get 200 miles to a tank on a run, commuting is less 160-180 miles.
There is no comparison between economy on the 800gs and the 990, My 800 would easily do over 200 miles to a tank (even had 240 on one occasion) 800= 17ltr tank, 990 22ltr tank.
I changed my 800 for the 990 and I can say I would not change back, the 800 is a really good bike, I loved it and thought it was perfect. Then I tried the 990, now that's fun and worth every penny of the fuel excess.
Test ride both bikes and you will see what I mean.
