Its wrong because its says 'For Diesel Engines'!
Its wrong because its says 'For Diesel Engines'!

So a "Not for road use" exhaust can is wrong if you happen to ride on the road then![]()
a somewhat simplistic view.
read the specs on the can, if you don't understand them (and it appears you don't) just buy the stuff from bmw. i'm sure you'll be happier.
Quite extraordinary, my point is that it is not recommended by the manufacturers and thats why they put 'For Diesel Engines' on the can! Simply because some people are so tight they would rather use diesel oil from work in their expensive BMW engines than use oil specifically designed for the purpose doesn't mean that should be the recommended practice!
And no I dont buy oil from BMW, I buy the proper oil from wherever is selling it the cheapest (it also happens to be the oil that Steptoe uses).
Thought so ! Same frecking oil.

and my point is, it's not what's in big letters on the front of the can, it's the specs in small letters on the back.
in a word: marketing.
