Always nice to know people care
The AA man came out today to recover the Panzer to Steptoe's. Being a brave soul, he had a bit of a poke under the tank and tested the coil. Coil OK. Then checked for spark. Nope.
Poked a bit more and found the coil live connector plug was u/s. Looked as though the plastic and the internal connections had degraded, hence the intermittent original fault (or one of 'em anyway). Suspect me replacing the coil last weekend had buggered the innards of the connecter enough to render it finally and permanently u/s.
Bit of a bullet-connector stylee bodge and the old girl was running again.
Bloody electrics. Hate the damn things with a passion. But it's clearly time I learned enough to become even more dangerous.
