1100gs rear rack

hiya,love my 1100gs to bits and is a defernate keeper but been an ex streetfighter builder i just can,t help myself tinkering and have decided to try and make my gs a little differant.so been a solo rider i can afford to loose the untrendy rear rack for maybe a one-off fabricated slimline box just big enough to hold the tool kit.i,m looking at maybe a little shorter/narrower than the rack,slightly higher than the riders seat and made so that it looks like it was made to fit rather than just bolted on.anyone done this or am i the only sad sack in town.and before anyone asked why?because i,m bored thats why
