What is the cheapest/best way of increasing my tarvelling range by approx 100 miles? I know you can by a bigger tank but these are usually VERY expensive! Any other ideas, please?

Strewth Mike, are you ever going to be 300 miles from a filling station?

If you only need this for a specific trip, I would think that the cheapest/easiest option would be to get a 20l jerry can and carry it to refuel from. If you want a more long term option, try an internet search for fuel cells. They get stuck on the back of snowmobiles in the wilds of the frozen north, etc.

I can get over 230 miles from one tank, how many miles do need to go ?

If it's within say 50 miles of this, why not carry a small 5 litre can. This would give you your mpg rate plus a bit in reserve ?
