1100gs year 2000, problem with r/h instrament

Hi, I have a problem with my gs, I have just got it, well about a week ago,it came with a couple of faults, one being the rear shock, which has now been rebuilt, the other problem , not yet sorted is the oil/fuel/clock guage on the r/h side of the clocks, I found it unplugged, plugged it in and guess what the still no guage + engine turns over but will not fire,unplugged it again and she runs as before still no guage. Any advice ? is it the relay or the sender unit or the unit it's self ?.

Not being a lectric guru me self I've got know Idea..... not to sure if its possible to have the RID function tested seperately, I have heard of them "packing up" ie oil/fuel/gears not being displayed, but not to sure about ignition supply but good luck anyway.
