Done a few miles now and think I will shortly need a new clutch on my 1150gs. Has anyone had a ceramic clutch fitted [Touratech part]? and if so, I would like to what they thought of it.

clutch

Hi Paul,
I fitted one to a mates bike last year, and he said it had a sharper take up,but don't forget TT say these take 5K to bed in.We went to the alps two weeks after fitting and done lots of passes and hundreds of hairpin,he had no problems. This is what you will get for your £300.Andy

Paul,

with 42k mikles on my R1100GS, I put in a TT ceramic clutch plate back in August 2003 in Austria...I've just ridden through Africa and am now in South Africa and am delighted with it.

Like Andy says, the take up is a little sharper and it's been smooth and problem free to date. It,s worth mentioning that when i replaced the plate I also replaced the other units that make up the cluth...felt like a new bike.

hope this helps
