On my adventurer I opened the fuel tank after washing the bike,
And to my horror saw the contents collected water run into the tank.
Is this an easy fix chaps n chapesss?

Use a length of nylon strimmer line

Do search and you'll have all the remedies known to man.

I use an airline at the other end of the drain hose, but don't give it the full whack as you can blow the hose off inside the tank. And don't have your head over the filler hole when you do it :D

Had this problem on two BMW now its a pain, one is on a bike that I'm doing a rebuild at the moment, the damage it Inflicted is new fuel filler and relined and painted the tank,,,,, check it regular ,,,,,

Every time you do the tyre pressures - blow the drain through from the overflow - find out which outlet is the attached to the little hole in the filler neck - the other is the fuel overflow and if you put an airline on that one it sprays fuel everywhere! When I found this out the hard way the workshop heater (open flame jet engine type) was at full blast......the bike didn't catch fire though. :D Blow UP the overflow by the footpeg RH side, if you hear gurgling, that is the fuel overflow - blow gently by mouth (yes, it tastes horrid!) If you can't blow, that is the one you want - MARK IT. i have a piece of tape around it so I know which of the two is which. Use the airline and clear it gently.

I can't get the wire/strimmer line to work on mine - BMW in their wisdom put a U-bend in the pipe on the underside of the tank and I can't get the wire to go round the two S bends!

If you splash a splodge of fuel when your filling up around the neck of the tank then watch all your money piss on the floor near the rear wheel then you'll know if its blocked or not.

Compressed air.

US bikes have a charcoal canister to catch extra fuel and water. Not such a great idea as the canister sometimes regurgitates charcoal dust, rust and water back into the fuel tank. Yurk. My Canadian spec 2001 K1200RS has no charcoal canister and I removed the one on my 2006 GSA SE with US spec.

What product did you use to re-line the tank?
