Have searched for the best portable air compressor and it seems the Airman pictured below is as good as any.

It come with a Din plug so it would be handy with my standard auxiliary plug on my 2003 1150.

But will it work ok ? Pump seems to need up to 10 amp, but I'm not too sure what the plug output is. I have searched but most talk about Canbus and 5 amp so I'm unsure. (I know mine isn't Canbus)

What fuse feeds the plug ?

thanks

The Canbus will cut off anything over 5A. Fit an aux socket straight off the battery with an inline fuse and that will provide the required load.

Thanks for the replies

Seems the std plug is man enough which is great. So will order my pump up.

Any idea which fuse it is ? Although i should just get spares for them all.

I remember when Wilkinson were selling those airman pumps for £7.99 each. I think all the branches were cleared out by UKGSers buying them up.
I ended up with four, keep one in the boot of both my cars, one in the garage and one on the bike :D

a porous front rim meant that i’ve had to top up the tyre every ride for nearly 2 years using an airman pump. it’s been battered, soaked, dragged along the ground, tangled, but still works 100%. good pump for the price.

thankfully got a replacement rim now ;)

I'm still using a non branded compressor I bought in a car accessories place in Aberdeen for £5 in 2003.... :P
