1150 Charging system/Alternator

I am about to fit some Hella lights and I`m wondering if the alternator is up to it? It`s a 2000 model 1150 with hot grips. I read somewhere that if hot grips were factory fit then the generator would be of a higher output. Is this correct? How many different output types are there? I use the bike daily and the lighting and grips will be operating continuously. That`s dip beam, rear light etc, two Whatever wattage Hellas & the grips all at once

I'm 99% sure you're right ie. the heated grips mean uprated output from the alternator. I think there are two versions - low (non-heated grips) and high - heated grips and/or ABS etc etc, or Adventure model.

I have heated grips but no ABS, but I do have the uprated output (which I think is 700w? maybe, or 800, can't remember ) and run accessories no problem.
